Set the Easiest Easter Table Ever

Whether you’re hosting brunch, lunch, or dinner, your holiday table will be ready for a crowd with my quick and simple tips and pretty spring florals.

Easter is one of my favorite holidays, so I want to share with you a few things I love to incorporate into our Easter tablescape. Below are some must-haves that I hope will inspire your own creation that’s perfectly prepped for Peter Cottontail! Please share your Easter décor with me—I love discovering new ideas and seeing how each family celebrates!

·             Tablecloth

·             Place setting, charger, dinner plate, and dessert plate

·             Cloth napkin

·             Napkin treatment, flower, napkin ring, etc.

·             Table accents like bunnies, eggs, etc.

·             Vase and flowers

1. I believe that every beautiful tablescape starts with crisp, gorgeous linens! The linen on my table is by India Armory. She has the most fabulous collection of linens, and they are all hand-blocked and keep so well!

2. I love to layer! Let me break down one of the place settings so you can easily see what I chose to layer here. I started with a charger that is actually from Italy, and it looks like a cabbage leaf—pretty and in season for Easter! The plate is by designer Peter Pilloto, who is well-known for his clothing designs. On top of the charger is a coordinating majolica plate. I have a lot of these in all sorts of designs, and I really like to incorporate them into my table. Adding several layers lends your table a thoughtful, collected look that feels cozy and sophisticated.

3. Don’t discount details! Whether it’s a fresh flower, a piece of greenery, or a great napkin holder, every napkin deserves special treatment! Any of these extra elements will elevate your table.

4. One of my most cherished table decorations is a set of brass dogwoods from Addison Weeks given to me by a dear friend. These make a wonderful accent! Definitely layer “hard” elements like these into your design. Not only will they add drama, but they are also great conversation pieces—and a chance to showcase special objects or collections.

5. Another component of my table are the golden bunnies that I actually got at Hobby Lobby! These adorable guys are evidence that you don’t have to shop in fancy antiques stores to give your table a classic, vintage look!

6. The flowers on the center of the table are all clippings from around my garden! Inside of the gorgeous rattan vases are Lenten roses, daffodils, maidenhair ferns, and ranunculus. Something I want to be sure you notice is that none of the vases are the same—using different vessel variations in the same material inject interest that’s still cohesive.

It is perfectly okay to mix textures at your table—in fact, it will upgrade your design! Here, I mixed linen, glass, rattan, and even the bamboo silverware. Nothing is matchy-matchy, but it all coordinates for the prettiest combination. Lastly, I scattered gorgeous robin’s-egg blue eggs across the table to contrast the white and pinks. Get creative with textures and colors, and in no time, you will have the perfect table for your Easter meal! Happy Decorating!
