How to Download and Save PDF Files from Safari on an iPhone

The Files app allows you to store PDFs, along with photos and videos on your iPhone. Here’s how:

Saving a PDF from Safari in Files:

  • Click the PDF download button. The PDF will load as a new Safari page.

  • Click the up arrow “share” button at the bottom of the Safari page. In the slide-up menu, scroll until you see “Save to Files.”

  • To access it later, simply open your Files app and select the PDF.


How to Download and Save PDF Files on a Mac

Saving a PDF on a Mac using Safari browser: 

  • Click the PDF download button. The PDF will load as a new Safari page.

  • In the top menu of Safari, click “File,” then “export as a PDF.”

  • Typically, PDF files are then saved in your Downloads folder. You can also open your Downloads folder and drag the PDF to your desktop for easy access.

Saving a PDF on a Mac using Chrome browser: 

  • Click the PDF download button. The PDF will load as a new Chrome page.

  • Click the download icon that looks like a down-pointing arrow in the top right-hand corner of the PDF screen.

  • Typically, PDF files are then saved in your Downloads folder. You can also open your Downloads folder and drag the PDF to your desktop for easy access.


How to Download and Save PDF Files from an Android

Saving a PDF on an Android device: 

  • Click the PDF download button. The PDF will load as a new safari page.

  • Tap “File” on your device, then select “Print.” In the dropdown menu, select “Save as PDF.” Choose the location you’d like to save the PDF, and press “Save.”


How to Download and Save PDF Files From a PC Computer

Saving a PDF using Chrome browser: 

  • Click the PDF download button. The PDF will load as a new safari page.

  • Click the download icon that looks like a down-pointing arrow in the top right-hand corner of the PDF screen.

  • Typically, PDF files are then saved in your Downloads folder. You can also open your Downloads folder and drag the PDF to your desktop for easy access.

Saving a PDF using Internet Explorer browser: 

  • Click the PDF download button. The PDF will load as a new Internet Explorer page.

  • When the PDF loads, select the gear icon (action menu) that’s in the top right-hand corner.

  • In the dropdown menu, select “Print.”

  • Instead of printing, you’ll want to choose “Print to PDF” or “Adobe PDF” from the list of printers. Then, select “Print.” Doing so will pull up a new window and allow you to choose where you want to save the PDF.
